Airwire Offers Car Device via Jio in India

Reno, Nevada-based Airwire Technologies and India’s Reliance Jio Infocomm entered into a partnership agreement to provide the former’s Connected Car IoT Device with its patented antenna technology to Indian users.

CIOL quotes the company: The AirWire Connected Car Device attaches to the vehicle’s OBD-II port over a cable in the vehicle. When plugged into the car’s OBD port, the device operates in Jio’s pan-India advanced 4G/LTE Network, and enables WiFi and Bluetooth through which smartphone apps provide communication, cinema, TV, music, games, location data and vehicle telematics.
