India Successfully Tests Missile Jointly Developed with Israel

The Defense Research and Development Organization of India, a federal government body, and Israel Space Industries co-developed the Long Range Surface to Air Missile and further successfully flight tested it from an Israel Naval Platform: The missile engaged and destroyed an incoming air target.

The Long Range and Medium Range Surface to Air Missile programs consist of missiles, MFSTAR (Radar), weapon control systems, vertical launcher units and two- way data links. Further operational flight trials will be conducted from the Indian Naval Platform before induction into shipboard service, reports Defense-Aerospace.
